Indo-US nuclear deal has been worked out under clause 123 of the American law. So, it asks us to go ahead with the deal. The deal is beneficial to India as India would get the requisite fuel from the United States for its civilian nuclear requirements for production of cheap electricity.
America would, of course, have the right to inspect the civilian nuclear plant but would have no supervision over nuclear plants for military purposes. Of course, there is no indication in the deal whether it would remain valid if India conducts a nuclear test but I think in that event, America may call off the deal. On the other hand, it may not call off the deal if its purpose is to strengthen India as its potential ally against China. In signing this deal and working it out, US has been inspired by India's record of non-proliferation despite India not being signatory to the Non-Profileration Treaty.
India would also gain from the deal in having America on its side to counter Sino-Pak-Bangladesh axis which wants to weaken India by continuous illegal migration of Bangladeshi people many of whom are anti-social and anti-national. These people come in such big numbers that they change the demography of Assam and West Bengal making these two states Muslim majority states and thereby, creating uncertain conditions in these areas to help China grab the North Eastern Region.
Communist who are flagging a red signal to the deal are actually anti-national people, who are more concerned with pleasing China than working for the good of their own country. Even in 1962 war and Quit India movement, they played anti-national role and were only guided by the Communists country like China in the first case and USSR in the second case. So, we should not trust Communists who are flagging red signal to what the Government wants to do – be it the nuclear deal or economic reforms.
