N-deal bringing worst out of politicians
Posted : Tuesday, July 22, 2008 By : MINAR PARADKAR

We have been witnessing a shameful and grim picture in one of the world's largest democracy, our country India, as regards the trust vote and the nuclear deal - an unbelievable 25 crores for an MP to vote in favour of the government.

Politicians are trying their level best to cull favour of opposition MPs. I also believe that since the Samajvadi party has now joined hands with the Congress-led UPA, the Ambanis’ have an important role to play as "Fund Managers " in the ongoing horse-trading. Another big shame on part of the politicians is luring the MPs with whatever they want, be it a cabinet post, chief minister or even giving one's father's name for whatever thing. Those who have dared to ask the same in exchange of voting in favour of the deal are no less than criminals.

I am sure that that the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the freedom along with the great leaders, if were alive today, would have committed suicide with a big shame on such selfish politicians. We have ‘power exchange’ already being effective, but such horse-trading is also another ‘power exchange’ managed by our great shameless politicians.

Where do we stand when we will be celebrating an Independence Day on the coming 15th August? Should such shameless politicians be allowed to unfurl the ‘Tricolour’ and how can they still dare to do the same? Are we independent in ‘real terms’? The whole country's future has been at stake because of political instability.
