A lot of articles were written and lot of analysis were done regarding the Sena parties and their slogan "Maharashtra for Marathi's". Of late each well known personality of India makes a statement that "India is for Indians and they are free to work anywhere in India". From sports stars, film stars to politicians they stress this point whenever they are asked to comment in this issue.
Now my question is why can't an authoritative system like Supreme Court issue an order, or atleast raise its voice as an institution to say that "India is for Indians and Sena should stop its cheap political tactics". Is it necessary that any court for instance can issue verdict only for registered cases and not on public interest?
I was really surprised when I read a news article criticizing Sachin Tendulkar for voicing his views about Maharashtra for Indians, saying that his views had come too late and he should have voiced this much earlier as most Indians see or rather worship him as their inspiration. Come on, why to blame Tendulkar here? If he has to make a statement at the right time to end all these controversies, then what is the political system of India doing?
We all know about outsourcing; IT has now become the backbone of Indian youngsters. When Obama administration said that Americans should get job priority and outsourcing should take a back seat to prevent job losses during recession, the Indian government took prompt steps to sort out the issue with US government. Now this Sena issue is nothing more than a local version of this job crisis. I strongly feel a prompt action is needed here as well.
