We are yearning for that 'Perfect Peace'
Posted : Wednesday, July 28, 2010 By : Sanjib Bhattacharya

Nobody had any idea about political murder, political killing and political harassment of innocent and opposition-minded people in the small religious town of West Bengal where I was born about 56 years ago.

The use of hand made bombs and weapons was unknown to them. I had never seen any political conspiracy and never heard of people getting murdered due to political ideology. This theory only came in force after the formation of CPM party in West Bengal.

It was CPM that first brought the ugly politics of murder, torture and harassment of the opposition-minded people.  After declaring itself a constitutional abiding political party and enlisting itself as a recognized political party with the Election Commission of India, CPM first started its illegal action squad.

The main activity of this action squad was to kill those who were dangerous   to their dominance. The most brutal incident happened in the 70's at Sainbari when CPM workers under the leadership of Binoy Koner allegedly attacked the House of Sain of Burdwan and butchered two Congress leaders. Not only did the CPM supporters allegedly throw the 3-year old son in fire, they also allegedly poured the son's blood in his mother's mouth. (This incident was published in Ananda Bazar Patrika, Jugantar, The Statesman and many other newspapers at that time.)

This was the real brutality and can only be compared with the brutality of Chengis Khan and Nadir shah. Even Bhuddhadev Bhattacharya identified the murderer and rapist of Nandigram and Singur as ‘Our Men’.  The question is: Is a Chief Minister of a state entitled to support criminals by identifying them as ‘Our Men’.

But even after that it is very unfortunate that such type of party is still ruling a state of India and very that unfortunate some Congress leaders are still giving importance to such party which is even involved in killings of thousands of Congressmen in West Bengal.

The Hon'ble Home Minister of India keeps saying that he wants to take action against those disobeying the Constitution of India. My question is: If he really interested to bringing normalcy in India why does he give preference to the Chief Minister of the party which first brought violence and terrorism in India?

I would like to request the Hon'ble Home Minister to listen the words of Mani Shankar Ayer and Digvijay Singh instead of giving importance to CPM leaders.  They were the first to introduce violence and terrorism in India.

I am also appealing to Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi to look after this matter as people’s wishes has been ignored by some selfish minded politicians.
