The recent meeting of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh with seven chief ministers as well as representative of naxal-affected states is nothing but waste of time and money and in this matter I would like to state that the recent killings have exposed the working of government at the Centre and their failure to handle the naxal activities. It is time that the government took a very serious view of the danger posed by the naxalites to the nation rather than having meeting with no result or outcome.
Till date the action taken against them so far has not produced any result which has resulted in the situation going out of control. A confrontation has been going on between the naxalites and the government and it has been observed that naxalites have gained an upper hand in the battle and have gained the confidence due to inefficient handling of the situation by the government and they can sure fight the government and bring about a revolution and have worked out the plan.
It is evident that putting down the Naxal movement is not going to be easy. The strategies adapted by the government so far is total failure and have not produced any positive result. It is high time the government handled the situation with iron hand. Special measures are required to break the ruthless, violent movement as early as possible, failing which there is a possibility of bloodbath in these seven states and for which the government will be fully responsible.
So the government needs to wake up and crush the naxal movements without bothering about what others say or play dirty politics.
